Our Flow System

At Flow Martial Arts, we teach a mixed martial arts (MMA) system of different martial arts from around the world.

Dragons

Beginner Dragons & Advanced Dragons

4 - 5 YEARS OLD

6 - 7 YEARS OLD

The Dragons programs consists of a full beginner’s martial arts curriculum developed to introduce younger students to our martial arts system at a pace that they are best suited to learn and succeed with.  Students in the Dragons program learn all the same techniques that they would learn over the course of the first two belt levels as a Junior, but broken down into smaller steps to allow them to see rewards for their progress more frequently.  This also allows us to keep them excited and interested with new techniques, or new ways to practice, more often.

Dragons students also learn all the same martial arts philosophy, etiquette, and life skills that we go over in all of our martial arts classes, but again delivered with the needs and learning capabilities of the 4 – 7 year old age group in mind.  This means that we put just as much emphasis on being respectful at home and working hard in school as we do on physical performance in class.

Our Dragons program helps students start early developing the focus, confidence and discipline to excel at martial arts, school, and life!

Juniors

Juniors Martial Arts

8 - 12 YEARS OLD

Self-defense and physical fitness training is the very least benefit you will see for your child from our exciting and empowering classes.  Many parents get their kids started in martial arts because they want them to learn to defend themselves, but then are shocked to see all the other benefits spilling over into their everyday lives – from improved grades, to better respect and attentiveness at home, to increased confidence and self-esteem, and even to leadership qualities!

Discipline, focus, and the more serious aspects of the program are taught through positive reinforcement and empowerment.  This helps us maintain an environment that has kids dragging their parents to class instead of the other way around!  As instructors, one of the biggest compliments we can hear is about how our students couldn’t wait to come back to class!

​

Our Juniors program consists of our full mixed martial arts curriculum, up to and through Black Belt level, and is designed to produce well-rounded martial artists with an understanding of the many different styles of martial arts and how they continue to evolve throughout the world.

Teens

Teens Martial Arts

The biggest struggles that teenagers face today are mental and emotional.  Like all of our programs, our curriculum introduces teenagers to a well-rounded system of martial arts that encourages and develops their physical fitness and self-defense abilities. For teenagers, we find that the most important benefit of the program is the positive environment and team atmosphere that we cultivate within our Flow family.

In the world of social media, teenagers are more susceptible than ever to mental and emotional stressors.  Physical activity is among the best ways to relieve stress.  A healthy team and family oriented atmosphere, with a community of their peers to make them feel welcome and supported, contributes to this stress relief and to building their support network as well.

​

Focusing teens on positivity and self-esteem, and helping increase their self-confidence through the knowledge that they are competently able to defend themselves should the need arise, makes them more prepared to succeed in other areas of their lives.  The perseverance, commitment, goal setting accomplishments, and leadership skills that martial arts offer are fantastic for teenagers as they look to prepare their resumes to enter the job market or apply to colleges.

Adults

Adults Martial Arts

Our adult classes are designed to be welcoming to beginners and veterans alike, regardless of age or fitness level.  We believe very strongly that martial arts training is something that everyone can benefit from, and that it is never too late to start!

​

Across the nation, adults are experiencing increasingly higher stress levels and lower fitness levels.  Our classes combine old-school tradition and philosophy with modern training methods and techniques to offer adults a program that teaches practical self-defense along with a great workout to leave you feeling stronger, faster, and healthier.  Just as important is the inner growth that martial arts promotes, helping adults feel more determined, less stressed, and more fulfilled.
